The Challenge We Set Out to Solve
Pakistan's electricity sector runs on a mix of legacy bureaucracy and genuinely difficult technical problems. Consumers struggle to understand their own bills. Independent consultants preparing electrification design books face DISCO submission processes that demand GIS based load flow analysis, yet the commercial software that produces it, Synergi Electric, carries a license cost running into millions of rupees, putting it out of reach for most small and independent practices. Meanwhile, as solar net metering, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging spread across the country, feeders that were never designed with distributed generation in mind now need careful, evidence based analysis before every new connection.
Chief Consultant Pakistan exists because we saw these problems from both sides, as engineers who had spent careers inside the DISCO system, and as builders who understood that modern software could close gaps that traditional consultancy alone never could.
Our Founding Story
Chief Consultant Pakistan was founded by a team that combines decades of hands on distribution engineering experience with modern software and data science capability. Our CEO is a retired Chief Engineer from GEPCO, who spent his career inside Pakistan's distribution network before deciding to help consultants and consumers navigate the same system he once managed from the inside. Alongside him, our Chief Software Developer and Chief Data Analyst bring the technical skill to turn that decades of field experience into practical, affordable digital tools rather than leaving that knowledge locked inside one engineer's head.
This combination is what sets us apart. Most consultancies offer either traditional engineering services or software, rarely both, and rarely built by people who have genuinely sat on both sides of a DISCO's Planning Directorate desk. We started by solving our own problems first: the cost of GIS software, the slowness of manual single line diagram drafting, the confusion consumers face reading a bill, and then we built tools to solve them properly, before offering them to the wider engineering community and the public.

What makes Chief Consultant Pakistan unusual is that we serve two very different audiences with the same underlying rigor. On one side, we work with DISCO planning engineers, independent consultants, and property developers who need PEC compliant design books, GIS based load flow analysis, and hosting capacity studies for new connections. On the other side, our Consumer Corner gives ordinary electricity consumers across Pakistan free tools to estimate their bill, check a duplicate bill, calculate appliance consumption, and understand connection procedures, without needing any engineering background at all.
Both sides of our work draw on the same team and the same technical foundation. The load flow engine that powers our professional Hosting Capacity Analyzer is built on the same engineering discipline that underlies our free bill estimation calculator. We do not see a contradiction between serving large DISCOs and serving individual households. Both are part of the same vision: an electrical sector in Pakistan where good engineering and good information are available to everyone who needs them, not just those who can afford them.

We see a Pakistan where GIS based load flow and hosting capacity analysis is a normal, affordable part of every consultant's toolkit, not a service reserved for firms wealthy enough to license Synergi Electric outright. We see DISCOs approving new solar, battery storage, and EV charging connections with confidence, backed by genuine stochastic hosting capacity data rather than rough estimates. We see our own cloud based, VPS hosted engineering tools, built specifically for Pakistan's grid, expanding further, and eventually serving credentialed engineers well beyond Pakistan's borders through open, interoperable formats like our JSON network exports.
At the same time, we see Consumer Corner growing into the country's default public resource for understanding electricity bills and consumption, alongside Chief Market helping households choose more efficient appliances. Our vision is not simply to be a consultancy that completes projects and moves on. It is to be the infrastructure, in software and in expertise, that Pakistan's electrical sector increasingly relies on as the grid modernises around solar, storage, and electric mobility.
